Founded on the promise of delivering great food and great experiences in a friendly, high-energy atmosphere, Moxie’s is Canada’s leading premium casual restaurant chain, offering the largest menu selection of any restaurant in its class. “Our goal is to provide an affordable slice of luxury,” says President Laurids Skaarup. “We’re all about great people who prepare fabulous food and offer terrific service. Our focus never strays from this.”

Moxie’s menu reflects the fact that people are more food savvy now than ever, but also recognizes that people never tire of the old favourites. If you’re in the mood for fresh ahi tuna or double cheese nachos, you’ll find it at Moxie’s. “One of the first things people say is that they love our menu because it offers genuine choice,” says Skaarup.” Our guests know they’ll enjoy great food at Moxie’s – fresh and skillfully prepared. Our food is the soul of who we are.”

In addition to our diverse menu, Moxie’s also places strong emphasis on having stylish rooms with quality designs based on the philosophy of being smart, stylish and real. “‘Real’ is a word that is very important to us,” says Skaarup. “Thus, we use real granite, rock, wood, wrought iron, tile and slate in our restaurants, yet no two look the same. Each has a unique personality and is tailored to the specific community.”

This past year, Moxie’s took to the world stage as the title sponsor for Team Canada at the prestigious Bocuse D’Or culinary competition in France. “Moxie’s and Bocuse D’Or share a passion for food and a passion for learning,” says Skaarup. “This was an excellent opportunity for our own emerging talented chefs across Canada to work with world class chefs.” Executive Chef John Humphreys, who brings fiery passion and creativity to Moxie’s, also traveled to Lyon to mentor Team Canada and get inspiration for exciting new menu items.

Since first opening in 1986, Moxie’s Classic Grill now has 59 locations across Canada, making it the nation’s fastest growing restaurant chain in the premium casual sector. Moxie’s operates upper tier casual restaurants coast to coast and is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner, late-night dining and weekend brunch. Be it a business lunch or just hanging out with friends, Moxie’s has whatever you’re in the mood for.
