An insider’s tour of Vancouver’s not-to-be-missed experiences.
Jane Jacobs, the renowned urban thinker, argued in her 1961 book The Death and Life of Great American Cities that the point of cities is a multiplicity of choice. Jacobs was referring to urban planning issues, but for the visitor to Vancouver, the choices don’t stop there. Geographical and cultural diversity also make this city shine. From our parks and beaches, bridges and buildings, or museums and galleries, there is much here for visitors to enjoy. Jacobs discovered just that during her January 2002 tour of Vancouver. “I think this would be a nice place to live,” she remarked. We think you’ll agree.
