Great Restaurant
More than just a restaurant, one night out at Samba Brazilian Steakhouse will find you hooked on the unique “Rodizio” experience of traditional “Gaucho Style” barbeque. All-You-Can-Eat meals are served at your table, at your leisure, by friendly, informative Passadore servers wearing traditional Brazilian dress who carve over 14 different kinds of meats from skewers for your dining pleasure. The salad bar, which is included in the set price or can be ordered separately, has lots of variety for vegetarians and includes both hot and cold dishes.
Samba’s warm, friendly, lively atmosphere is part and parcel of the whole Churrascaria experience (Churrascaria means barbecue place). The enormous open-glassed barbecue at the back of the restaurant has 52 speeds, 3 galleries and was brought all the way from Brazil. On the weekends, Executive Chef Maurio Ramos, also imported from Brazil when the restaurant opened three years ago, adds venison and seafood to the varied array of meat selections: ostrich, buffalo, prawns, mussels and fresh fish abound.
With its reasonable prices, excellent food, fun, family atmosphere and traditional Brazilian décor, this totally new ethnic style has drawn celebrities, sports figures and awards of all kinds. The Vancouver Sun named Samba Best Brazilian Barbecue. The restaurant also received the Golden Plate award for Best Latin and Enroute Magazine calls Samba the Best Brazilian Steakhouse in North America. It is also the only Brazilian Steakhouse in Vancouver.
The restaurant seats 230 people, is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, has two private rooms, one VIP room and a lounge. Whichever room you choose, the ambiance of Samba is sure to delight as old-world tradition combines with Brazilian passion, flair and style. “It’s casual. Fun. People come here to eat, drink, relax and talk,” says Ramos proudly. Eat well, live well and be happy is the philosophy upon which Samba’s success thrives.
There is live Latin music seven nights a week and on weekends patrons are treated to a traditional Brazilian Capoeira show. A combination of martial arts and dance, the show can be viewed from your table while you sip Caipirinha — a signature drink of the restaurant, made from Brazilian spirits, lime and sugar. Or get up and participate if you dare: dance, sing, laugh. The full Brazilian experience of Samba is yours to enjoy!
