A Note About Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness affects some visitors who travel from a lower elevation. Symptoms range in severity and include loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, shortness of breath, nosebleeds, rapid pulse, and swelling of hands and feet. To prevent altitude sickness, give yourself a day to acclimate before undergoing strenuous activities, such as hiking or skiing. Avoid alcohol consumption for your first day and drink plenty of water. Wear sunscreen and a hat when outside.
