When Santa Fe’s famous sunsets turn the Plaza into gold, the best place to be is on the balcony of The Ore House, sipping a margarita and watching the world go by. With one of the best views of the city’s Plaza, The Ore House is also well loved by locals and visitors alike as one of the finest purveyors of eating and drinking for 30 years.

The Ore House offers hearty hospitality that can please any palate. The Balcony — open yearround — features a daily “Balcony Hour” from 4 to 6 p.m. Known as “Margarita Headquarters,” The Ore House features 40 tequilas as well as numerous margarita combinations featuring the finest 100 percent agave silver, gold, and añejo tequilas from Mexico.

Inside, a cozy warmth beckons with a menu full of selections as satisfying as the atmosphere. The Ore House specializes in the finest cuts of meat and the freshest seafood in the Rocky Mountains. The presentation is uniquely Southwestern with the wonderful addition of New Mexico’s famous red and green chiles in sauces and salsa made daily on the premises.

Lunch specialties feature such Santa Fe favorites as Plato de Santa Fe and hearty Burgers Grande. Dinner selections include Corn-Fed Aged Black Angus Beef, Roasted Prime Rib, Classic Filets, a prime rack of Colorado Lamb, and the freshest grilled, or sautéed seafood — served with your choice of specialty chile sauces and butters. Dinner also features several delicious chicken dishes, vegetarian specials, and wonderful meals for “Kids Only.”

This exceptional fare is complemented by one of the best wine lists in the world. As the winner of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence since 1993, The Ore House has a wine to suit every taste, including its own special label of New Mexico vintage merlot, chardonnay, and cabernet sauvignon.

The Ore House continues its tradition of excellence by offering a tempting variety of homemade desserts.

Don’t miss the new Tequila Gift Shop, featuring full package liquor and our homemade salsas.
