This is the one card in your wallet that won’t cost you a cent to use - in fact you’ll save money every time you use it.
The New Mexico Tourism Department, with the help of its many industry partners statewide, is offering the Enchantment Card: Your ticket to valuable benefits and discounts at participating New Mexico travel-related businesses and attractions.
The Enchantment Card is designed to promote tourism statewide through the use of discounts, resulting in increased revenues in the tourism industry. In these economic times, travel incentives such as discounts and added value offers are expected by the public.
Card holders will be able to choose from a wide variety of attractions, restaurants, shops and interests; create their own itinerary at their own pace; save money; and maybe best of all, explore and experience the best of New Mexico.
The discounts are available statewide. There are no coupons to carry. Just flash your Enchantment Card at participating businesses where the “Discover New Mexico” sticker is prominently displayed and save money.
We know what you’re thinking, and you’d be wrong. There’s no catch. That’s the beauty of it. The Enchantment Card is absolutely free and easy to obtain. Visit www.newmexico.org/tournm and click on the Enchantment Card. Fill out the necessary information and one will be mailed to you. Or stop by any of the New Mexico Tourism Department Visitor Information Centers, fill out your information and one will be issued to you immediately. You must be at least 16 years of age.
“The goal of the Enchantment Card discount program is to increase the number of visitors – from both in state and beyond - into our communities,” said Michael Cerletti, Secretary of the New Mexico Tourism Department. “The program means more people traveling, shopping, eating, sight-seeing and maybe even staying an extra night or two; and it will encourage people to go places they have never gone before and encourage former visitors who may not have been back in a while. Best of all, however, is there is no cost to the card user, and the only expense to the participating business is what it chooses to offer as a discount. Everybody wins.”
