Visitors and locals alike have made this Carmel icon a favorite for more than 50 years. The timeless popularity of this charming restaurant stems from the quintessentially Carmel atmosphere, the impeccable service, and most of all the delectable California cuisine created by Chef Raymundo Perez.
Dine indoors or under the stars on the heated garden patio next to a roaring fire. Enjoy fine wines from the vineyards of Monterey County and pair your selection with any of the gourmet courses such as Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Galette or Arugula and Baby Spinach Salad with Pears and Gorgonzola, Tandoori Spiced Rack of Lamb or authentic Spanish Paella for two, then finish your repast with a bit of Homemade Tiramisu or Chocolate Mousse Cake with Raspberry Coulis and a glass of port. Or, you may wish to savor your dessert with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, espresso, or cappuccino.
If you prefer, you can enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast at The Village Corner every day of the week. Choose from exotic omelets, Eggs Benedict topped with homemade hollandaise sauce as well as an array of fresh fruit and rich coffee.
Break up your day of Carmel gallery-hopping and stop in for lunch, either indoors or under the sun on the patio. The lunch menu includes many outstanding selections. Our favorite is a grilled Portabella mushroom topped with roasted red peppers and feta cheese all nestled within slices of foccacia bread or Grilled Monterey Sand Dabs with Lemon Remoulade also on warm foccacia bread. These are truly sensational!
The Village Corner — not just a place to eat but a memorable dining experience, no matter what time of day it is. And, well-behaved dogs are always welcome! Breakfast daily from 7 a.m. lunch from 11:30 a.m., dinner from 5 p.m.
