The intimate warmth of Cafe Fina is reflected in a display of many personal family photos that honor its rich history as generations of Monterey Bay fishermen. Since 1989, the fresh made pasta dishes have focused on Monterey seafood, with an Italian-Sicilian touch by owner, Dominic Mercurio. An ocean-weathered building on the outside holds a treasure chest of epicurean delights inside. Cafe Fina also boasts the first wood-fired brick oven in Monterey which produces specialty pizzas and other dishes. The cioppino with clams, mussels, prawns, calamari, and fresh fish in a light tomato broth over linguini is not to be missed. The mesquite grill brings forth the freshest halibut, swordfish, snapper, and Cafe Fina’s famous sardines. An extensive wine list rounds out a great dining experience. Great for lovers and families and located on the bay at the Monterey Wharf with a private room upstairs for parties.

This Italian-infused menu has enticing selections like Pasta Capri with baby shrimp in fresh tomato, black olive and butter-clam sauce and stuffed jumbo prawns with Dungeness crab topped with Hollandaise. With lots of local wines and views of the sea lions and seals just outside, Domenico’s lively indoor-outdoor dining is the perfect setting for families, couples and for celebrations.
