One of downtown Carmel’s longest-running establishments, Anton & Michel masterfully caters to today’s discriminating diners. Classic Continental cuisine crafted with a lighter California touch by Executive Chef Mark Simpson, a professional staff that is sure to remember your name, and an elegantly casual ambiance transform lunch or dinner into an unforgettable experience. At the front of the house, affable General Manager Bert Simpson has been making guests feel at home for nearly 20 years.
Original paintings from the owners’ private collection, a richly appointed lounge and the atrium-style dining room are perfect for casual meals, special celebrations, and small group events. Weather permitting, the patio centered within the dramatic Court of the Fountains, is a favored spot for an afternoon repast. The lunch and dinner menus are wonderfully innovative and present selections that will please any palate and appetite. Dessert is an occasion in itself with classics Bananas Foster, Cherries Jubilee, and Crêpes Suzette for two prepared at the table. With more than 500 vintages, the wine list has garnered Wine Spectator’s, Best of Award of Excellence every year since 1988.
