Original and Unique Jewelry Designs in Precious Metals
Located on San Carlos in beautiful downtown Carmel, The Crossroads Jewelers offers old-world craftsmanship and attention to detail rarely found in today’s marketplace. Owner and custom designer Sarkis Sakiz started his apprenticeship in Istanbul, Turkey at the age of ten, working with a firm designing rare and precious gifts for diplomats and foreign ambassadors who were guests of the Turkish government. Now, with more than 42 years’ experience, he is able to interpret his original and unique jewelry designs in platinum, white, and yellow gold. Sarkis works with an international clientele who have particularly discriminating tastes to create custom designs that range from fanciful and exuberant motifs to Victorian and Edwardian interpretations of traditional rings, bracelets, and necklaces. As a Charter Senior Member of the National Gem and Jewelry Appraisers Association, he has experience and talent that surpasses most of his contemporaries. He also teaches and mentors younger designers in the delicate and precise art of jewelry design and execution.
The Crossroads Jewelers also maintains the largest GIA collection of certified gems on the peninsula. Fine diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and sapphires compete for attention in the sumptuous and thoughtful collection of desirable and precious objects. Each item is a perfect choice as a gift or memento for that very special occasion. As heirlooms, Sarkis’ extraordinary designs will be passed down from generation to generation. A selection of jewelry by other well-known designers is also on display.
The Crossroads Jewelers, Inc. is located on San Carlos between Fifth and Sixth in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Sunday.
