Monterey Bay - Annual 2006

Where Is The Hog's Breath Inn?

The Hog's Breath Inn

A GuestLife Monterey Bay
Great Restaurant

That’s a common question heard along the busy streets of Carmel. Finally! At long last the Hog’s Breath Inn is back by popular demand, at its original location on San Carlos between Fifth & Sixth Avenues in Carmel.

The Hog’s Breath Inn is one of the oldest dining establishments in Carmel, providing a cozy and relaxing escape from the bustling Carmel streets. Once owned by Carmel’s most famous resident, Clint Eastwood, it is now owned by successful restaurateur Kaiser Morcus. For years, locals and tourists alike have gathered at the Hog’s Breath to meet friends for a quick drink or a memorable dinner and to enjoy the warm, intimate setting. The dining room, with two cobblestone fireplaces, accommodates up to 60 guests. Here, one can truly enjoy a great meal. Offering a varied choice of entrées, from seafood and steak to pasta dishes, everyone is assured of an extraordinary dining experience.

If you prefer, journey outside to the brick patio and settle in with a warm drink next to one of the inviting cobblestone fireplaces — a friendly ambiance for those crisp, chilly Carmel evenings. The scenic mural and ivy covered walls add yet another element to the warm and cozy atmosphere.

Be it dining on a succulent piece of prime rib or enjoying cocktails in the company of good friends, the Hog’s Breath Inn is memory you will cherish. Look for the hog’s head on the west side of San Carlos Street, walk down the alleyway, and enter a Carmel icon.
