Marking their 10th year at Minute Maid Park, the Houston Astros are playing for memories this season. In 2005, the team reached the World Series, but was swept in four games by the Chicago White Sox. Fans enjoy the cooler nights when the retractable roof peels back.

HOUSTON DYNAMO
Houston Dynamo — back-to-back (2006, 2007) MLS Cup winners — play a schedule of domestic and international soccer matches at Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston. Scoring leader and U.S. national team forward Brian Ching returns to bring the cup home to Houston.

HOUSTON TEXANS
In 2002, the Texans returned to the NFL as an expansion team after its predecessors, the Oilers, bolted to Tennessee in 1999. Though lacking a winning record or a playoff berth, the Texans are still a welcome sight in a footballcrazed town.

HOUSTON ROCKETS
The two-time NBA champion has generated excitement and interest around the world in previous seasons with its Chinese star, 7-foot-6 center Yao Ming. The Rockets won back-to-back titles in the 1993-1994 and 1994-1995 seasons.
