Sharing an Italian-inspired courtyard with Mandola-family eateries Nino's and Grappino di Nino, Vincent's is the benchmark of Italian dining in Houston.

Like its sibling establishments, Vincent's offers another pleasantly top-class, equally delicious venue for the exciting regional cuisines that exalt Italy's among the sophisticated palates of the world. Vincent's wood-fired pizza oven and nearly adjacent open-hearth rotisserie rekindle memories or ignite dreams. They bring to mind, to table, to plate still more of the phenomenal repertoire of Italy's chefs, cooks, and kitchens.

It is at Vincent's that each of an extraordinary variety of authentic, house-made Italian pastas, breads, and pastries start their own pilgrimage to become focus, friend, or finish of memorable meals at both ristoranti. Indeed, as with families or neighbors in a tiny Italian village, Vincent's and Nino's menus share some of their respective specialties.

Veal Vincent, for example, was an early Nino's signature dish, even before there was a Vincent's. It is coated with formaggio parmigiano (imported Italian Parmesan cheese), sauteed in pure olive oil, topped with artichoke hearts, and polished with lemon butter.

Correspondingly, Vincent's signature lemonand-garlic-accented pollo arrosto (spit-roasted chicken) also glows at Nino's.

Elegant Vincent's resembles a series of enclosed patios telescoping out from the main dining room. There, the pizza oven and the 48-chicken rotisserie blaze like two smiling architectural eyes, their flames and aromas happily incendiary to your own senses.

At Vincent's, as at Nino's, be sure to bring your buon appetito — good, hearty appetite.
