The Antique Pavilion

Houston - Annual 2006

An Upscale Multi-Dealer Shop

The Antique Pavilion

From American silver to English ceramics, French furniture to Victorian jewelry, Oriental art to Deco objects, from the $15 discovery to the $15,000 masterpiece, the Antique Pavilion provides the finest selection of antiques in the Houston area.

Located behind the turquoise awning in the center of the River Oaks and Upper Kirby Districts, the Antique Pavilion is an upscale multi-dealer shop. Also featuring abundant storefront parking, it offers easy accessibility and convenience for shoppers. Thousands of objects, small to monumental, are exhibited in individual shop settings or displayed in the unique Showcase Gallery for customer enjoyment and selection.

China, crystal and silver pattern-matching services help find that missing piece or start the beginning of a new set. The Antique Pavilion is also home to Houston’s most comprehensive collection of English Staffordshire (animals and figurines), Majolica and transferware.

Many dealers at the Antique Pavilion are recognized and respected as being among the foremost leaders in their fields, both local and nationally. An expert on 19th and 20th century ceramics, David Lackey is seen frequently on PBS’s popular Antique Road Show. A major exhibitor at the Antique Pavilion, David pioneered what is now the nation’s second largest china-matching service, e-dish, formerly known as David Lackey Antiques and China matching. David has now expanded his presentation of antique furniture and porcelains, with a special emphasis on Texas artists.

Pillsbury Michel, a full-service shop devoted to antique, estate and contemporary silver, especially flatware pattern-matching, has been established since 1976. A number of its former fine antique pieces can be found in museums, as well as in private collections, around the country. Services include hand engraving, repair, appraisals and private consultations.

“Courtesy and consideration for all our clients is our greatest concern,” says Marion Glober, owner of Past Era Antique Jewelry, a salon located in the Antique Pavilion. With over 25 years experience, Marion offers fine antique and estate jewelry in a wide range of prices, from $95 to $165,000. The knowledgeable staff can also assist with repairs and appraisals.

No matter which Antique Pavilion exhibitor you visit, come by and be surprised. Come buy and be delighted.

Houston is a vibrant international city that heartily enjoys its tradition of being a place of firsts. General Sam Houston, the city’s heroic namesake, was the first president of the Republic of Texas. Houston, the city, was the first word spoken from the surface of the moon and the first to build an air-conditioned sports stadium.Welcome! »
