EP2007 - Great American Land and Cattle Company

El Paso - Annual 2007

Great American Land and Cattle CompanyThe home of the two-pound T-bone

A GuestLife El Paso Great Restaurant

Twenty-eight years being the most highly respected steakhouse in El Paso, and one of the most highly respected steakhouses in the world, is not an easily won honor. Tasting is believing, however so plan an enjoyable meal at either of these two locations of the Great American Land & Cattle Company. The northeast location on Alabama features elegant dinners with sunset views. The eastside is perfect for a casual and delicious lunch or dinner.

The greatness of the Great American stems, first, from the quality of the steak, of course. USDA Choice corn-fed beef is aged four to six weeks and cut, on premises, by master meat cutters. Next comes the Great American’s famous Steak and Meat Seasoning (available regionally in grocery and department stores); and finally, perfect grilling by experienced chefs.

One is best advised to lunch lightly or skip the midday meal altogether before a dinner visit to one of the Great American Land and Cattle Company restaurants. All meals are complete, and entrée size is large, ranging from threequarter pound steaks up to the mind-boggling two-pound T-bone. Steaks also include ribeye, New York strip, filet mignon, top sirloin, kabobs, and chicken-fried steak. Great American’s tangy barbecue includes mesquite and hickory smoked baby back ribs, beef ribs, sausage, and brisket.

Fresh seafood is plentiful and sizable, too: Grilled Australian lobster tail, steamed Alaskan king crab legs, salmon, halibut, broiled red snapper, grilled rainbow trout, and beer-battered-deep-fried or broiled shrimp, and haddock. Tender boneless chicken breasts come grilled, beer-battered, barbecue, or Cajun-style with Great American’s spicy blend of seasonings. Available appetizers are Caesar and garden salads, steak soups, smoked salmon, sausage bites and a shrimp cocktail made with enormous, succulent shrimp and homemade sauce that sparkles with a hint of horseradish.
